Enjoyable. This book starts off well with a great Southern-style heroine but it takes its foot off the pedal about halfway through. I feel like the arc of the series is progressing extremely slowly. By the end of this book we are really no better off than when we started. I would like some stronger forward momentum to keep my interest. Looking forward to that nasty Graham McNeill in the next instalment. I like the way the books really concentrate on the main couple. So many series seem to obsess about introducing the next couple by having their story start in the previous book. I find it can detracts from the current romance when that happens. But JA just includes an excerpt of the forthcoming novel at the end.
