This review is for books 1,2 and 3. A murder mystery series with lots of beautiful, narcissistic gay men and the occasional unattractive and/or psycho female character. The conversations are mostly about how attractive the guys are or how attractive they find each other. Spontaneous stiffies grace almost every page. It's fairly shallow stuff. The murder mysteries are not too bad but because I didn't find Kevin et al interesting, I didn't really care if one of them kicked the bucket. Tony, the closeted cop, and Kevin's main love interest, makes an appearance about once every 50 - 70 pages for a few lines then disappears again. The final HEA is sudden and out of character. I missed not seeing any of Tony's coming out journey, his relationship with his family, or how it went at work. This is not a series you would read for the romance.
