I really enjoyed reading this book. I haven't read so much Amy Lane recently because they seem to be very much down the deep end of the angst pool. But this one was just right for me. At times the storyline made me stop and reflect on things I've done in my life and at other times the characters really inspired me. So that's gotta be good writing yeah? The interracial relationship seemed spot-on (not that I'm any judge) and the physical attraction and sex scenes were excellent. There was also a tight little subplot about some a murder in the workplace. All of those things together made for quite a rich reading experience. One thing I do notice though is that I've read so much by this author that the similarities between one book and another are becoming more noticeable. It's good that she creates such unique settings each time as a counterbalance.
