3.75 stars. Good contemporary romance that touches on a sensitive subject with realism and dignity. It's a sensual love story between Jacqueline, a first year college student recovering from a break-up and subsequent assault, and the enigmatic Lucas, an honourable but emotionally detached Good Samaritan. For some reason Jacqueline's voice seemed very different in her email discussions with Landon. I had trouble connecting that extroverted intellectual with the nervous, timid person she appeared to be in person. But other than that it's a good story and deserving of the good ratings.
