Disappointing. Overly long m/m version of 'Pretty Woman'. The first 15% is all sex of the rentboy/bad BDSM variety. Once the two MC's met and started talking I thought it would get better but the character of Haris (the older millionaire guy) was so one-dimensional and passive aggressive that I really disliked him. I lost count of the number of times he kicked Tyler out or stopped speaking to him because he suspected him of cheating. There was never any discussion about their relationship. Just sex. All. The. Time. or Not Speaking.
I'm not a big fan of BDSM novels but even I could see that it was clumsy and misrepresented. At one point in a particularly dramatic scene(show spoiler)
I actually started laughing because it was so ridiculous. Between the bad BDSM and the bad guys Tyler was getting beaten up so much by everyone that I was wondering how he could keep going to school or playing in the band. He would have been covered with bruises and lacerations head to toe. The bit where(show spoiler)
Letting Malik go free annoyed me. In fact the whole Arabic family thing annoyed me.
I liked this author's previous m/m romance but this book was a big fail for me.
