I saw a few good reviews of this book and decided to give it a go. It's a novella and it feels like it starts in the middle of the story. Jax has given Sully a divorce after he returns from the war with selective amnesia (he remembers everything except her) and the sight of her makes him scream. Their marriage was on rocky ground anyway because Sully decided to re-enlist without telling his wife.
This felt like a recruitment advertisement for the US Army and I think you need to be American to really appreciate it. Lots of propaganda about how to care for your man after the war. How the boys just want to save lives and we little women should understand it. Blah, blah, blah. Sully deserved a kick in the nuts and Jax was a doormat.
